We've decided to learn Spanish. So with the aid of a great Spanish resource book, a couple of CDRoms and a handful of posters we have begun. Colours seemed an easy place to start, so we've been trying to use Spanish names for colours when they come up in conversation. Sienna delights in telling everyone that her favourite colour is "AZUL!" (Blue).When I was thinking about fun ways to help us learn I decided it would be fun to make up a little game. I cut out circle shapes, Rog downloaded some Spanish tunes, and we had our Los Colores game. A bit like musical chairs meets Hullabaloo, the kids dance around until the music stopped, then I'd call out a colour in Spanish, and they'd have to find the right dot to stand on.
