Hatchlings

Today we decided to use our GrabOne coupon and hit the Hatchlings Exhibit on at Waikato Museum. It's about dinosaurs, eggs, babies , you get it. The girls had fun wandering around and getting hands on with some of the exhibits. Madi read aloud some crazy dinosaur facts and there were a few 'wow look at that' moments.

In the pic below Ky has her hand on an Ostrich egg. We once stayed at a B&B that farmed Ostriches, and Rog had an Ostrich omelet for brekkie, I think they didn't use the whole egg just for him though!

Sienna found these air vents in the floor, so she did her Marilyn Monroe thing on them.
And of course, what would a glance out the window be without some people floating down a giant river on a lilo? Hmmm.

Lol, I always imagine that your Lilo is said 'Lee-lo' no? This is said 'lie-lo'. Sienna would go crazy for the insect exhibit! <3

I love the photo of Kyla, all legs, next to that dinosaur leg!

Looks fun. My boys would have loved that too.

That looks like such a fun day! And I love seeing the girls in their pretty summer outfits (while I'm sitting here and watching snow fall off the trees)--they're gorgeous!!

The Word Party

Loving words clutch crimson roses,
Rude words sniff and pick their noses,
Sly words come dressed as foxes,
Short words stand on cardboard boxes,
Common words tell jokes and gabble,
Complicated words play Scrabble,
Swear words stamp around and shout,
Hard words stare eachother out,
Foreign words look lost and shrug,
Careless words trip on the rug,
Long words slouch with stooping shoulders,
Code words carry secret folders,
Silly words flick rubber bands,
Hyphenated words hold hands,
Strong words show off, bending metal,
Sweet words call each other 'petal',
Small words yawn and suck their thumbs,
Till at last the morning comes,
Kind words give out farewell posies....
Snap! The dictionary closes.
